Assalam Aleykum,

Imam Mahdi Nasser Mohamed ( peace be upon him and his family as well as all prophets from first to the last one) says: "That is His word the Most High: {the Quran at dawn. Surely the recital of the Quran at dawn is witnessed.}Truthful Allah the Great [Al-Esrã`a] 17:78
{وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا} صدق الله العظيم [الإسراء:٧٨].
Therefore Fajr prayer is the middle prayer and it is witnessed by the angels of night (at the time of changing) turn and handing over to the angels of day-time and they are the consequences by night and day."

As you can see, angles of nigh and day-time have been mentioned above. Who are they: angels of the night and day-time?

Thank you.

Wa alakom Al Salam was rahmat Allah wa barakto my dear.brother from another mother peace be upon you and Allah mercy and blessings

Those angels are mentioned in this verse

Allah SWT said:

"For each one are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah. Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron."
(QS. Ar-Ra'd 13: Verse 11)

And there duty from what immam Nasser Mohammed explained is to exclusively protect from before and behind ,and as for the right and left side's they are covered by angels that are responsible for writing a person's good or bad deeds , and all though they are not responsible for protecting as their duty is specifically to write a person's deeds but demons don't dare to approach from a person's sides since the companion angel's are always available , as Allah says in his book

Allah SWT said:

إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ
"When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left."
(QS. Qaaf 50: Verse 17)

these two angels on the right and left have another duty other than writing our deeds which is the responsibility for extracting the soul from the body when it's a person's time to pass away as well as they are his companions in the after life , and their responsibility ends after Allah's final judgment on a person. But more importantly is what the immam said Allah wants to teach us on not to rely on he's Angels for protection and that nothing will struck us except what Allah decreed for us , and that we should always and totally relay on Allah all the time as nothing can protect us not even he's angels with out Allah's will and Allah dose not want us to think of his angel's as if they can protect us except with his will and absolute ability .

I hope I managed to clear things up a bit keep it up my dear brother your questions are amazing as it helps me practice my English and review the true bayan of the holy Quran from the immam Nasser Mohammed Al yamani.

The answer is no my dear brother the angel's that are responsible for writing down our deeds are companions meaning they are always on the left and right of a person besides the fact if he's a Muslim or non Muslim and their duty ends in the after life after Allah's judgment on that person.

On the other hand the angel's that are mentioned in this verse : "That is His word the Most High: {the Quran at dawn. Surely the recital of the Quran at dawn is witnessed.}Truthful Allah the Great [Al-Esrã`a] 17:78
{وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا} صدق الله العظيم [الإسراء:٧٨].

These angels only duty is to protect in night and day if a Muslim gets up to pray the middle prayer which is the fajer prayer and those patrolling angels witness those who pray at that time and protect him from ahead and behind those Muslim's who had prayed at that time and they stay with him untill the next middle time prayer the fajer prayer and if he or she manages to pray the fajer prayer in the next day they hand over to other angels that witness him pray the fajer prayer .

So in conclusion there's two angle companions that are always with a person on his left and right side that are only responsible for a person's deeds and extracting the soul when he or she's time in this life to pass away and their duty ends in the after life .

On the other hand there's patrolling angels of night and day time and their only duty is protecting a Muslim ahead and behind if they witness the Muslim pray the middle prayer Al fajer prayer and they hand over to other angels when that Muslim prays the middle prayer the fajer prayer in the next day .
